Job Title: Learning and Development Trainer

Location: Ipswich

Salary: Competitive and confirmed on application

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30pm

About the Role

As a Trainer, you will be responsible for spearheading the implementation of a comprehensive Learning and Development program aimed at delivering top-notch training modules. The focus lies in understanding the intricacies of the financial services realm, particularly mortgage lending, and mastering relevant regulatory frameworks. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's capacity to provide compliant services that align with customer expectations and regulatory standards. The responsibilities encompass overseeing the entire training landscape, from initial induction to ongoing enhancement, covering customer engagement, technical expertise, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored training programs including inductions, ongoing improvement, and refreshers, ensuring effective knowledge transfer through evaluation and feedback.
  • Collaborate with management to pinpoint training needs in the Servicing function, crafting materials and providing relevant learning to meet business requirements.
  • Organize workload alongside the team to meet business and regulatory deadlines.
  • Develop guides, presentations, and training materials to support workshops.
  • Manage administrative tasks for the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Continuously enhance existing training programs and workshops.
  • Research new industry topics to maintain the relevance of training sessions.
  • Ensure training materials align with business, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Explore and recommend new training tools, techniques, and resources for implementation.
  • Assist in organizing the L&D schedule, prioritizing new colleague induction training, and adapting to evolving business needs.
  • Recognize and accommodate different learning styles, adjusting delivery methods to facilitate workshops effectively.
  • Undertake additional projects as needed to support business requirements.

Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated training background in Financial Services.
  • Understanding of the mortgage lending market and relevant industry regulations.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development or equivalent.
  • CEMAP Module 1 qualification preferred or willingness to pursue within the first year.
  • Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines.
