About you
You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Learning Disability Nurse on commencement in post.
You will bring to the role:
- knowledge and understanding of current Learning Disability practice and the role of a multi-disciplinary team, including statutory and voluntary agencies
- skills in effective assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of work in supporting people with learning disabilities
- ability to build good working relationships with professional colleagues and partners and engage positively with individuals, families and carers
- experience of using a person-centred, holistic approach and creativity in problem solving and reflective practice techniques
