A large organisation with over 1400 employees based in Colchester are looking to appoint their new Learning Lead.
The purpose of the role is to be a Senior Manager of the Talent & Learning Team with key responsibility for ensuring the work of the department.
Job Description:
- Be accountable for the operational management of the organisation's learning and leadership development
- Be responsible for the delivery of all learning, and development including statutory and mandatory training, apprenticeships and associated Levy and leadership development
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and teams on learning and development matters to ensure a fit for practice workforce enabled to deliver the highest quality services through the development of all mandatory and essential skills
- Lead on the development and implementation of strategies and programmes of learning to ensure the safe, adequate and appropriateness of all colleague resources to deliver the Group strategy
- Ensure close and positive links are developed and maintained and influence learning and development offers across the system to ensure inclusivity and quality delivery for the organisations workforce
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current relevant processional qualification (CIPD L5 or ILM L5)
- Experience in / demonstrable track record of successful leadership in complex organisations
- Experience of people management and development and leading change
- Experience of developing and designing and delivering L&D interventions
- Experience of financial planning and the ability to manage large budgets effectively to meet financial targets
