Salary: NJC SCP 16-19 Learning Mentor. 37 hours per week, term time only + INSET. (39 weeks a year)PermanentCabot Primary School is a thriving and diverse school in the heart of the St Paul’s community. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team of LSAs in supporting children with SEND in our school.
Ofsted (Nov 2018) rated the school as Good, with examples of key strengths being:

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor in a varied role that enables children to overcome individual barriers to learning by identifying the issues and creating solutions to ensure an equality of access to opportunities to learn. They will act as an integral part of the school staff team, liaising closely with the SLT and contribute to the overall aims of the school, working within agreed policies and procedures. The successful candidate will need to have:
high expectations of what children can achieve
an ability to work with people at all levels, external agencies, senior leadership, teachers etc
Experience of working with children / in a school
Experience of planning lessons and working with children with SEN
Managerial and leadership experience
good data analysis skillsflexibility and creativity
resilience, and can pick themselves up when things don’t go to plan
a passion for and experience of working with children with emotional difficulties
a positive approach and passion for engaging children in learning
an ability to develop good relationships with children, colleagues and parents
be qualified to GCSE level (Grade C or above), or equivalent, in Maths and English.
