An opportunity has arisen to be part of the Medical Needs Teaching Service, in this Learning Mentor post, which aims to break down the barriers to learning for children and young people. We are seeking to appoint an individual with the drive to make a significant contribution towards the educational attainment of children and young people with Medical Needs.
The successful candidate will:
- be keen to work within an outstanding education service and with other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- have a positive and optimistic approach
- have excellent interpersonal skills and personal resilience
The MNTS is a service commissioned by Leeds Local Authority through a Service Level Agreement with the East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre, and the MNTS delivers learning in four settings across Leeds.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments will be to the Medical Needs Teaching Service which is part of the East SILC and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference check.
