Learning Support Assistant in Whitehaven!

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We're searching for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant in Whitehaven.

Position: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Whitehaven

Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

Availability: Full-time positions available to start from January 2024

Key Requirements:

  • Right to Work: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
  • References: Valid and contactable references from previous work experiences are essential.
  • DBS Check: Preferably already possessing a DBS on the update service.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide dedicated support to students with SEN within the classroom, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Teacher Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to support the implementation of lesson plans and provide assistance within the classroom setting.
  • Independence and Initiative: Demonstrate the ability to work well independently, using initiative to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Work seamlessly with other staff members at the school, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.

  • Supportive and Nurturing: Display a supportive and nurturing demeanour, fostering a positive atmosphere for students.
  • Kindness: Embody kindness in all interactions, understanding the unique needs of students with SEN.
