Learning Support Assistant

TimePlan Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Lambeth. The primary school provides a supportive learning environment for all students. They believe in the potential of every child and are committed to fostering an atmosphere that encourages growth and development.

You will be joining a supportive team playing a crucial part in supporting a child with challenging behaviour, ensuring they have access to a positive and enriching educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing one-on-one support to a child in Year 2 with challenging behaviour.
• Supporting in implementing personalised plans alongside the SENCO
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Employ effective behaviour management strategies to promote an engaged learning atmosphere

Experience Required

• Experience supporting special needs or challenging behaviour
• Knowledge of the national curriculum
• Understanding and interest of how children develop socially and mentally
• Patient, reliable and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs
