Roles and responsibilities:
You will be playing a critical role in supporting students with educational needs, ensuring they have equal education and the opportunity to succeed. Your responsibilities will be:
- Working in a SEN School, providing 1 to 1 or group assistance to support students aged 9 - 16 in lessons, ensuring they are actively engaging.
- To support the students in various subjects
- Supporting children with MLD, physical disabilities (wheelchair support) and SpLD (specific Learning Disabilities) like Dyslexia
- Encouraging students to gain independence
Criteria:
- Experience supporting children with learning difficulties/ disabilities and or challenging behaviour.
- Experience with supporting young people (Desirable to not essential)
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- A good understanding of the difficulties children faces with learning difficulties
- Restraint training (Desirable not essential)
