Hours of Work:28.75 hours a week. Term time only (8.30am-3.15pm daily).
Location of Role:Frogmore Infant School
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) as soon as possible.
The role involves working with children on a one-to-one/small group basis. Experience, or an understanding, of one of the following is essential:
- how to support pupils on the Autistic Spectrum
- how to support children’s social, emotional and mental health needs
Our LSAs work in close partnership with class teachers, parents, outside agencies and our SENCo to promote learning for all children. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, calm and be able to show initiative, preferably with some experience of or interest in working with children with special needs. They will have excellent communication skills and the ability to make learning fun and engaging. An ability to encourage children to achieve their best and promote independence is essential.
