Salary Do you have experience in supporting pupils with special educational needs? Are you available to begin work straight away? Empowering Learning are working with a mainstream school based in the central Nottingham area who are looking to appoint an SEN teaching assistant to work in their SEN unit within their school.
The role will be Monday to Friday and the hours of work will be 08:30-16:00. The contract will begin as soon as possible and will be full time
Has previous experience of supporting SEN pupils
Has at least one years' school based experience
Holds a TA qualification or a relevant degree
Can build good relationships with children who struggle to engage in class
Has good communication skills to liaise with staff and pupils
Can lead inspiring interventions to help engage pupilsThe main duties within this role will be:
Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
Supporting pupils in and out of class who present with special educational needs
Liaising with the school SENCO and the class teacher around the progress of pupils
Providing pastoral support to children with social and emotional needs
