An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join our ACE team.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in making a positive impact on the lives of the people we support.
Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced and qualified teachers, providing personalised support. You will assist students in their learning, which may include 1-2-1 support or group sessions.
Responsibilities:
• Assessment and Session planning: Supporting our teachers to plan sessions and develop individualised learning plans that focus on maximising each student's abilities, strengths, and goals.
• Direct Support: Providing one-on-one assistance to students in teaching activities, including communication and community participation.
• Skill Development: Enhancing student's independent living skills, social interactions, and vocational abilities.
• Collaboration: Working closely with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure co-ordinated care and support.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, progress notes, and incident reports.
Qualifications:
• Education: Level 2 in maths and English.
• Certifications: Any relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid, Safeguarding) are advantageous.
• Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient using Microsoft application programs and digital packages.
• Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt to varying needs and situations.
• Knowledge of person-centred approaches and best practices.
• A willingness to learn and grow.
Benefits:
• Job Type: Part time
• Expected Hours: 24.5 per week. Expected Location: 2.5 days at Wigan, 1 day at Leigh
• Start date: As soon as possible.
• Salary: 10,986 – 14,614 per annum (At least National Minimum wage – age dependant - from April 1st 18–20-year-olds £8.60, 21+ £11.44)
