Learning Support Assistant

Here at Veritas, we are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 in a primary school. The successful candidate must have experience working with children that display challenging behaviour, the school are looking for someone who is engaging, creative and adaptable.
About the role:
- Assist with the development of pupils that require extra support
- Create supportive and caring relationships with the pupils
- Full time position with the potential of a permanent role
- Assisting the school on outings or with events
- Have experience working in school environment with children that have SEN
Candidates would ideally have:
- Experience in and a desire to support challenging SEMH behaviour and autism/communication needs
- Must be able to follow planning programmes
- Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
- Be comfortable providing pupils with extra care and support where needed
