Learning Support Assistant Job Description:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEND, specifically Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Collaborate with the class teacher to design and implement customised lessons
- Create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide guidance for students to help develop and enhance their social and emotional wellbeing
- Cooperate with fellow staff members and experts to address the unique requirements of each student
- Ensure the security and overall welfare of all students
- Prior experience working with children with SEND, specifically ASD, is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective multi-agency working
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
