The Supply Room is currently recruiting for a school in Hoxton in the east London area, for a Learning Support Assistantto join their brilliant SEN team to start immediately. The school is looking for an enthusiastic individual with the ability to work professionally.
The candidate will need experience working in Primary schools with SEN pupils, particularly those with behavioural difficulties.
What will be expected from you in the role?
· Mentoring a small number of students and 1:1 with some pupils
· Liaising with the SENCO and senior members of staff
· Creating individual action plans whilst also co-teaching alternative curriculum lessons.
· Remove barriers to learning and help them to progress well at school.
What is the school looking for?
· Experience working with SEN in the past
· Strong behaviour management skills as well as experience working with SEMH/EBD Students.
· Firm but fair approach able to set appropriate boundaries with teenagers.
The following vetting documents will also be required so we have you cleared for work through The Supply Room.
These include:
· A valid Right to Work in the UK
· A minimum of 2 graded references (Childcare references required)
· Overseas police check (If applicable)
