Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants at an outstanding Secondary School in South Manchester who are looking for flexible work. Your role will be to work in either one school on a longer-term/permanent basis, or you can work on a flexible 0-hour contract where you work as and when you choose to, and you may work in various schools. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and Secondary students.

This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced educators, gain valuable classroom experience, and make a real difference in the lives of our students. The school has great facilities & close to public transport, the school’s focus is to give a nurturing approach to learning whilst making learning fun. This friendly school currently has an Ofsted report rated ‘Good’. The role is due to start September 2024 for the right individual.

This is a great way to get experience if you are seeking a career within education. As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working within the class to support the teacher with their lessons, you will be working alongside a team of support staff. 

The Role:

• Location: South Manchester
• Salary: £20000- £22000 per annum
• Start Date: September 2024
• Contract Type: Full Time

• Communicate clearly with Teachers and young individuals
• Create an encouraging learning environment for pupils
• Be understanding and caring
• Carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device
• Remain calm during stressful situations
• Work on different activities conducted inside and outside school premises
