We are in search of a driven Leasehold & Sundry Debt Officer on behalf of our client based in Birmingham. This is a permanent position, working for a Housing Association who are dedicated to the development of sustainable, diverse, co-operative, caring and vibrant communities.
This will be a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, and offers working from home one day per week. The annual salary for this post is £30,009.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Being responsible for the provision of annual service charges, estimates and statements
Ensuring the production of bills and statements are processed correctly and that leaseholders receive reasonable bills and accurate for service charges
Liaising with colleagues to undertake S20 consultation in accordance with the procedures and timescales laid down in the legislation, issuing notices and supporting information as required
Dealing with any service charge disputes
Working through former tenant arrears and initiating processes to collect money owed to the Association by previous tenants.
Creating reports detailing debt that is unrecoverable either due to age of debt or other factors
Managing leasehold properties and all aspects of leasehold services, including consultations for major works and repairs, issuing invoices and estimates for service charges
Experience required:
Working with leasehold, home ownership or commercial properties
Experience in recovering service charges and debt collection
Providing an attentive and tailored service to clients
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Up-to-date on Housing legislation and Leasehold regulations
Strong communicator and able to resolve complex situations

Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Flexible working between core hours 8:00am-6:00pm
