About the Role:

The Faculty of Health, Medicine & Social Care constantly pursues innovative approaches to deliver curricula to meet the ever-changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. Our provision in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Cambridge includes a variety of pre-registration nursing courses and nursing apprenticeships.  Our approach ensures that our well supported students receive a high quality, evidence-informed educational experience. We are seeking to further develop and support research, innovation, and knowledge exchange across the School. 

 

We’re recruiting for Lecturers in Adult Nursing in Cambridgeshire at our Cambridge campus. This post will include planning and managing learning and teaching for both pre and post-registration nursing/midwifery students, facilitating online and face to face teaching (including simulated clinical skills), acting as an academic assessor for NMC approved courses, link activity supporting practice-based learning, and contribution to research, innovation, and knowledge exchange activities of the School and wider Faculty.

 

With a Master’s degree or first degree with significant clinical experience and ongoing evidence of CPD, you will also hold a current registration with the UK NMC as an adult nurse. You’ll have extensive experience of contemporary clinical practice and/or clinical education, excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to think innovatively and be able to meet deadlines. You’ll contribute to curriculum development and work co-operatively and as part of a team. With an enthusiastic and flexible approach and good interpersonal and negotiating skills, you’ll demonstrate commitment to our values with a willingness to contribute to the collective life of the Faculty.
