Lecturer in Education

SOC Code - Visa Requirements: 2311, this role is sponsorable We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and passionate educator to join our team in a full-time Lecturer role. This open-ended position will contribute to strengthening and expanding research and teaching within the Department of Education at the University of Bath. About the role  We are specifically looking for candidates with backgrounds in International (Sustainable) Development, Educational Technology, Educational Leadership, and/or Special Educational Needs. The ideal candidates for these roles will possess expertise relevant to one or more of our Department's Research Groups. We are particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate concrete connections across multiple Research Groups through their previous scholarly work. We welcome candidates who are excited to bring their speciality experience to enhance our existing programmes across educational studies. You will be enthusiastic about blended and online teaching methods, along with traditional face-to-face instruction. We seek someone who appreciates pedagogical development and can help us continue delivering high-quality learning experiences. Above all, you will join a collaborative department looking for team players motivated by working with students, furthering education, and building community.  Our Research Groups include: Education, Work and Social Change International Education: Curriculum, Assessments, and Leadership Language in and for Education Reimagining Education for Better Futures Education, Wellbeing, and Inclusion Through the Life Course The Department of Education has a thriving international reputation for teaching and research that develops theory, policy and practice. We offer one undergraduate programme (Education with Psychology) as well as a range of postgraduate taught programmes including: MA TESOL, MA International Education and Globalisation, MRes Education MRes Advanced Quantitative Methods MA Education We also have postgraduate research programmes such as the MPhil, PhD and Doctor of Education (EdD). Students and graduates of these programmes constitute a lively world-wide network of educational professionals working across all levels of the education sector and within other governmental and non-governmental organisations. We seek an accomplished scholar to join our department and enrich our programs with their expertise while growing their own specialised research area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for research, teaching and learning, and appreciate the value of face-to-face, distance, and blended instructional contexts. We need someone who can effectively teach across modalities and contribute to the department's pedagogical innovation.
