About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lecturer and Programme Leader for T Level Engineering to join our land-based college vibrant academic community. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the T level Engineering programme, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students. This role involves collaboration with relevant stakeholders, curriculum design, teaching, assessment, and overall Programme Leadership within the unique context of a land-based education setting.
About the Candidate
Candidates should have a strong background in Engineering and a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a sector specific subject. Experience of engineering in a land-based context would be beneficial. Candidates must have achieved GCSE 4/Level 2 in Maths and English. Ideally the candidate should be a qualified teacher with vocational assessment qualifications or be prepared to work towards these within the first two years of their role. Candidates should have relevant and recent industry experience or evidence of CPD to support industry currency.
As Programme Leader you will be at the forefront of inspiring, mentoring and guiding our students through their academic journey. Your expertise in engineering will allow you to create engaging and innovative curriculum that covers essential subjects including; Maintenance engineering technologies, understanding materials, mathematics for engineering and manufacturing and business, commercial and financial awareness. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong knowledge of T Level Business requirements and standards. About the College
Northumberland College is the only college in the county serving, the communities of Northumberland, offering a diverse curriculum offer from Entry level to Level 6, discrete SEND provision and Apprenticeships.
