Job description

1. To provide support and formal supervision to students in various placements including our University Health Hub Clinic. 2. To provide module leadership for practice education modules across the programme.
3. To liaise with registered professionals and external organisations to source and develop new practice education placement opportunities for Occupational Therapy students. 4. To ensure all practice education placement opportunities meet the requirements of the Universitys work-based learning policy.
5. To contribute to the marking and moderation of student assessments. 6. To allocate zoned academic and undertake zoned academic visits to students on placement.
7. To provide preparation, support, and training to support students and practice educators and ensure quality learning in practice. 8. To participate in curriculum development work including planning, development and evaluation of courses.
9. To carry out agreed academic administrative work including the development of a practice placement database and placement agreements for Trust partners. 10. To plan and facilitate learning sessions and group tutorials including participating in the induction of new students to the programme.
11. To liaise with the Course Leader and Module leaders, the Work Based Learning Support Office and practice educators. 12. To support the Course Leader and Head of School to ensure the continuing quality management of the programme, particularly with regard to Professional Statutory Regulatory Body (PSRB) requirements.
13. To participate in annual staff development and review processes. 14. Engage in scholarly activity and research-informed staff development to ensure currency of knowledge.
15. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job; participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training. 16. Take steps to ensure and enhance personal health, safety and well-being and that of other staff and students.
17. Carry out these duties in a manner that promotes equality of opportunity and supports diversity and inclusion and takes into account the University's commitment to environmentally sustainable ways of working.
