About the Role:

The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies.  Our provision includes: BSc Adult Nursing, DipHE Nursing Associate, and RN Apprenticeship. We also offer post registration / CPD courses and modules, including, Advanced Clinical Practice, Clinical Assessment skills and Non-medical prescribing. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience.  We have internationally excellent research in social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our Faculty.

 

With a health care professional UK regulatory qualification, you’ll have a strong professional background within the field of Advanced Practice and an interest in Critical care. You’ll also have a substantial track record of high level professional activity and collaborative projects. You will join an existing team of academics and will contribute to the taught delivery, assessment and support for students undertaking our Advanced Practice programme including the critical care courses. You will work in partnership with our local NHS Trusts, to develop and grow the future Advanced Practice/critical care workforce across the region. You will also lead or make a significant contribution to planning and implementation of strategic enhancement in areas such as student recruitment, marketing, quality assurance and student retention.

 

As well as a relevant professional registration with UK PSRB, you will have a masters degree/first degree and professional qualification in subject discipline at post-graduate level. You will have successful teaching experience at HE level and/or relevant commercial/professional experience, excellent written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal and negotiating skills.
