The roles itself will have the Legal Assistant dealing with administrative tasks as well as assisting with calls on legal helplines covering a wide range of legal areas. The legal helplines are run by the firm on behalf of a client. This role is ideal for a candidate at the start of their legal career and for gaining experience of dealing with clients from the outset.
Legal Assistants Key Tasks:
- Dealing with telephone calls within both departments
- Providing administration support to lawyers within the personal injury team and on the legal
helplines - Liaising with clients and other parties on behalf of the team and dealing with enquiries as
appropriate - Making Subject Access Requests
- Drafting letters of instruction to medical experts
- Digital filing, photocopying and collating documents
- Preparing electronic bundles
- Maintaining diaries, arranging appointments with medical experts and arranging
conferences with Counsel - Preparing and up-dating spreadsheets
- Assisting in up-dating precedent letters for the case management system
- Creating and sending SharePoint links to third parties
