SALARY: GRADE 7 | SCP 23-28 | £32,076 - £36,648
HRS/WEEK: 37 HOURS PER WEEK
WEEKS/YEAR: 52 WEEKS PER YEAR
CONTRACT: PERMANENT

Within the Council’s childcare legal team a vacancy has now arisen for a LEGAL ASSISTANT.

This role will primarily involve assisting the childcare team of lawyers in their conduct of childcare cases including case preparation; preparation of legal documentation; assisting advocates at court; preparing court papers and attending court to instruct Counsel; ensuring compliance with court orders in terms of disclosure and the filing and serving of documents; redacting documents to ensure compliance with DPA requirements; producing summaries of disclosure; preparing draft statements and court bundles; and undertaking such other legal, clerical and administrative work as maybe required to support a busy team.
