We are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join our team at Valleys to Coast Housing. The overall purpose of the Legal Assistant role is to assist and support the Head of Legal Services, by providing legal and administrative assistance and delivering in-house legal services.
We are looking for someone who can assist in developing and maintaining an in-house legal service and will deliver it to the highest professional standards. You will also assist with the management of caseloads comprising a variety of landlord and tenant (including leaseholder) matters, including but not limited to property litigation, land law, Anti-Social Behaviour, Tenancy breaches, Housing Disrepair and Compliance. As part of the role you will support the Head of Legal Services by preparing documents, fact checking and tracking case developments. You will be required to have a strong understanding of legal terminology and to perform administrative duties, such as maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, making photocopies, including producing and editing transcripts.
