The business, who provide innovative solutions and services across a wide range of industries, has recently gone through a period of growth and now look to expand their legal team.
Role Overview:
As a Legal Counsel you will play a pivotal role in supporting construction projects, ensuring legal compliance and providing strategic legal advice. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled legal professional to contribute to high–profile projects and work within a collaborative and forward–thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review and negotiation a variety of construction contracts, subcontracts and consultancy agreements, such as JCT / NEC contracts. Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and offer legal support to project managers and senior executives. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks associated with their projects. Liaise with external legal advisors and regulatory bodies as necessaryStay updated with changes in construction law and regulations, ensuring the company's policies and procedures are compliant. Qualifications:
A qualified solicitor in the UK. 2 years PQE+ in construction law, this can be either in–house or in a law firm. Knowledge of UK construction law, contracts and dispute resolution.Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
