Legal Counsel- Estate Renewals

This is a Fixed Term Contract position for a Property Legal Counsel to join a nationwide business with offices based in Reading.

Description

The Property Legal Counsel position based in Reading will involve the following tasks:

• Provide direct support to the estates renewals function
• Review Heads of Terms, liaise with the Site Provider's Solicitor to ensure it is similarly instructed and check any site-specific queries
• Prepare draft Code Agreements
• Negotiate the Code Agreement with the Site Provider's Solicitor
• Provide updates to operational teams about how cases are progressing
• Complete Code Agreements in line with internal policies
• Provide additional support to the wider estates team as required

Profile

The successful candidate for the Property Legal Counsel will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Be a qualified solicitor
• Have experience of working in a similar role focusing on commercial property
• Have a strong understanding of code agreements
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be able to work independently

Job Offer

This is a fixed term contract position for 12 months.

Hybrid working is available- 3 days a week in the office.
