About the role
Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of digital creators and innovators? The Academy Grimsby is seeking a dynamic teacher to spearhead our Level 2 Digital Media qualification. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire students in an ever-evolving field at the forefront of technology and creativity. This role will also include:
Leading the development and delivery of the Level 2 Computing, Games, and Esports curriculum.
Providing mentorship and support to students, fostering their academic and personal growth.
Collaborating with industry partners to ensure our program remains relevant and aligned with industry standards.
Overseeing administrative tasks related to the program, including record keeping and data analysis.
Organising and facilitate meetings, events, and other program-related activities.
About the person
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge on the subject area, and expertise within this field and would ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE/Cert Ed). Candidate should also have:
A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in computing, game design, esports, or a related field.
Experience in curriculum development and program leadership within an educational setting.
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
Excellent communication and people skills, with a passion for mentoring and inspiring students.
Knowledge of current trends and technologies in computing, games, and esports
