SalaryWe are working with Secondary schools in Sheffield who are currently searching for full-time and part-time Teaching Assistants to work as part of a dedicated and resourceful KS3 and KS4 team.
Successful candidates will find themselves in a welcoming and positive environment with enthusiastic and creative teaching staff who are supported by a strong senior leadership team, all delivering in classrooms focused on maintaining a engaging atmosphere for children and practitioners alike.
Requirements:
To be considered for the teaching assistant position, you will:
- Hold a recognised teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Safeguarding policy is highly desirable.
- Have experience working in a Secondary school setting.
- Have knowledge of the National Curriculum and maintaining records
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
- 2 x references (including your last employer)
Key responsibilities:
- Support groups of children with their learning under the guidance of a teacher
- Support individual children needing additional support
- Provide supervisory cover in the Teachers absence
