The Role
The role of a Youth Worker is to engage a diverse range of young people in positive activities as well as offer support, advice and guidance on issues that affect young people.
You will work with young people to develop their social education by providing programmes of activities, services, and facilities with learning outcomes.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for contributing to the planning, monitoring and evaluation of sessions.
The role requires you to supervise and safeguard young people in a youth work setting, adhering to Bolton Council polices, procedures and guidance.
About You
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and approachable with the ability to communicate effectively with young people aged 13-17.
You will have experience of working with young people and be able to build good relationships.
You will be willing to get involved with a variety of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games and project work.
The successful candidate will demonstrate patience and tolerance and have the ability to work with challenging young people.
About Us
This is your chance to make a real difference! The play and Youth Service offer positive activities for young people between the age of 4-17 in a variety of settings. The service offer childcare, afterschool clubs, youth clubs and manage an outreach team that work alongside the police. The youth club settings offer a safe engaging environment for young people to take part in new experiences, meet new people and seek support, advice and guidance from qualified and experienced Youth Workers.
