Requirement for a Level 3 Roped Access Technician to supervise examinations and enabling works operatives for the EREC. Primarily responsible for site safety, supervising structural examinations on difficult to access type projects.

Primarily responsible for site safety, this role requires a strong communicator who has experience managing small teams in safety critical environments.
You will be leading teams on site and mentoring IRATA Level 1 Examiners and will be part of the Infrastructure Services team working alongside experienced Structures Examiners to gain an understanding and experience of bridges and other railway infrastructure. The successful candidate will be put through their COSS qualification as soon as possible and may have the opportunity to undertake STE4 training in the future, should that be an area of interest.
Location (s):
Ideally you will be based in the Midlands due to site locations, this role will require occasional lodging away due to the nature of the work. Travel expenses are covered including a company vehicle.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for site safety, access plans, rescue plans, and general supervising of Roped Access examinations. An opportunity for a Level 3 Roped Access Technician to further their supervisory skills, or somebody keen to transition into the rail sector. • Carry out Structural examinations in accordance with company and industry standards
• Clear communication and production of reports
• Carry out Roped Access supervisory duties on site
• Assisting management in defining the most appropriate access techniques for certain projects
• Work in a professional and safe manner, especially in a live working railway environment
Essentials
- IRATA Level 3 qualified
- Demonstratable experience managing small teams
- Willing to travel UK wide and stay away if required
