Brief Overview
All applicants must complete an initial assessment for Blackburn College before an interview will take place with the employer. Once successful the candidate will work with the employer 4 days a week, and attend Blackburn College for 1 day a week for training. This is an Apprenticeship which will last for a minimum of 20 months to be completed.
The apprentice will create, implement and adapt tailored holistic and wellbeing experiences for their clients.
Wellbeing and Holistic therapists complete treatments and wellbeing experiences via holistic therapy principles, theories and applications to calm or stimulate the sensory perceptions of the body and mind in the pursuit of optimal functioning and balance of the physical, emotional and mental aspects of daily life. This results in a dynamic state of equilibrium and wellbeing for the client.
General duties will include the following:
- Assist therapists
- Customer care
- Reception duties
- Cleaning rota duties

Wellbeing therapists deliver specific treatments such as;
- Aromatherapy
- Acupressure (manual digit pressure massage applied by the hands to specific points on the face or body)
- Holistic massage (therapeutic hands-on massage therapy that affects the clients physical, emotional and mental wellbeing)
- Indian head massage
- Hot stone massage
- Swedish massage
- Lymphatic drainage
- Wellness experiences

Qualifications
You must hold a Level 2 Beauty qualification.
