Library Assistant – Rathcoole.

We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Rathcoole . This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP

Hours of work:

Week 1

Monday 1.30- 5.15

Tuesday 9.15-5.15

Total: 11.25

Week 2

Monday 1.30- 5.15

Tuesday 9.15-5.15

Thursday 9.15-5.15

Saturday 9-12

Total: 18.75

Rate of pay is £11.49 per hour. Saturday pay rate £17.24 per hour

Duties include:

· Handling client queries using print & electronic resources

· Registering clients

· Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations

· Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.

Essential Criteria:

· Must have 5 GCSE’s including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent

· 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.

· Experience working with young children and elderly people

· Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
