Job Description: Litigation Paralegal

Location: Birmingham office
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and responding to New Client Enquiries
- Handling routine and non-routine correspondence
- Drafting legal documents
- Conducting legal research
- Attending client meetings
- Compiling document bundles for court, counsel, or other parties to litigation
- Recording accurate proceedings during court appearances
- Attending conferences with counsel and documenting the discussions
- Issuing documentation in court and serving documents to parties involved in litigation
- Ensuring time spent on client files is recorded with evidence through attendance notes
- Meeting or exceeding chargeable time targets
- Contributing to the firm’s marketing activities, such as drafting articles and attending networking events
- Performing any necessary tasks for the proper discharge of the firm’s responsibilities to its clients
- Seeking supervision from a Director or other fee earner when matters arise beyond your competence
- Undertaking any other duties competently as reasonably requested
Qualifications and Skills: The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
- Completion of a qualifying law degree or passing SQE1
- Completion of the LPC or BPTC or SQE2
- Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal
