The Role:
As a Litigation Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse caseload of litigation matters, including but not limited to commercial insolvency, merger requisition, and insurance law cases. You will provide expert legal advice and representation to clients, ensuring their best interests are served in litigation proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a comprehensive caseload of litigation matters, ensuring all legal frameworks and deadlines are adhered to.
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in various litigation proceedings.
- Conduct thorough legal research to ensure advice and representation are based on the latest laws, regulations, and case precedents.
- Draft, review, and manage a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediation sessions, advocating on their behalf to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements, ensuring clients' objectives are achieved efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external counsel, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to case management.
- Stay abreast of developments in litigation law and practice, applying this knowledge to benefit clients and the firm.
- Assist with business development initiatives and client relationship management to support the firm's growth and reputation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate in the UK.
- Demonstrable experience in litigation, with a particular focus on commercial insolvency, merger requisition, and insurance law.
- In-depth understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience representing clients in court and alternative dispute resolution settings.
- A strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships, with a focus on delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions.
