A friendly and professional couple are seeking a reliable and skilled Housekeeper/Cook to take care of their weekend and holiday property. The couple typically visits the property around 2-3 times per month, arriving on a Friday afternoon and leaving on a Sunday afternoon. The role primarily involves hands-on housekeeping for the 5-bedroom home and converted barn guest space, along with cooking duties for the couple and occasional dinner parties (approximately 5-6 times per year). The couple has a kitchen garden, so someone who enjoys healthy cooking would be preferred, but ultimately, the ideal candidate should be a capable cook who can follow simple recipes. The couple currently doesn't have any pets or children, though this might change in the future, although there won't be any childcare duties involved. Other staff, including gardeners, are already employed at the property.
Duties
Hands on Housekeeping, Cleaning and tidying to a high standard,
Laundry, Washing and Ironing.
Cooking for the family and occasional guests including informal dinner parties (5/6 times per year)
Making use of the garden produce would be a bonus
Household and food Shopping (deliveries)
Dealing with contractors and tradespeople.
Partners and pets will be considered although the accommodation would be better suited to a single person all bills included
Driving is essential a car can be provided for work and personal use.
Hours: 5 day week 40 hours flexible on days must cover Friday Saturday and Sunday
( Longer hours 9 -9pm with a 4 hour break on Fri / Sat when in residence)
Accommodation: Separate 1 bed flat within a barn conversion ( Newly built)
Salary: £40-45k Gross per annum
