The project is titled “Ecology and evolution of pathogen-microbiome-host interactions during population-level intermingling” and is funded by the BBSRC. The project will involve the housing of up to 50 weaned calves in group pens for three, five-week periods. The primary role of this position is to support investigators with sample collection and processing, collection of calves from various farms, and they will be primarily responsible for the animal feeding and bedding, which will involve weekends during study periods.
