Housekeeping Operative

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a full-time Housekeeping Operative to be based at our head office in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a thorough and hardworking person to join our growing business.

What is the role?

As a Housekeeping Operative in this role, you will be required to fulfil cleaning duties within the office environment, day-to-day tasks include:

  • General cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, etc.
  • Keeping restrooms clean and tidy, well stocked
  • General cleaning of the office space
  • Looking after cleaning stock and placing new orders from appointed suppliers
  • Upkeeping of the building such as regularly buffing floors, window cleaning etc.

The position will be full-time and permanent, and the shifts you will be required to work will alternate weekly between mornings and evenings, however, it is important you are flexible and able to occasionally work around the needs of the business.

Who you are

The ideal candidate should have experience cleaning in a large environment. You will have high standards of cleanliness and be able to remain vigilant and observant in your day-to-day role. In addition, to be selected for interview you must:

  • Have good communication and team working skills
  • Have meticulous attention to detail
  • Have an ability to work on your own initiative, largely unsupervised
  • Be flexible, reliable and willing to learn
