The Yorkshire Post requires a Local Democracy Reporter to provide public interest journalism for
the historic City of York. You will ensure that matters, decisions and issues relating to the public
authorities concerned are covered in a timely, impartial and robust way.
You will have an eye for detail, an approachable personality and a flair for storytelling - in words,
pictures and video. The best LDRs are nosey; inquisitive, probing, questioning. You look at every
lamppost notice you pass and submit FOIs in your sleep. Is that you?
