This position reports to

Motion Manager, UK & Lead Motion Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a sales, commercial and operations teams. Each day, you will be accountable for the commercial deployment as well as the day-to-day operations of the organization within your assigned geographical scope. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the design and implementation of both the business commercial and customer-focused operations strategies. The work model for the role is: Office based, working from our Head Office in Daresbury, Warrington. As the Local Division Manager for the System Drives Division for Motion UK, you will define and drive the implementation of a growth and winning local go-to-market strategy in alignment with the global Motion divisions growth ambitions, strategies and priorities. You will be mainly accountable for: • Driving business growth via the implementation of a UK System Drives business development strategy to increase market penetration and market share. • Ensuring the integrated commercial and operational success of the organization in order to drive business growth, market share, and achievement of organizational performance and growth objectives. • Creating, implementing, reviewing, and relentlessly executing the business commercial strategy, industry segment strategy, go-to-market model and customer-focused operations strategy with responsibility for financial and non-financial targets • Driving appropriate, productivity optimization with special focus areas such as profitability, demand analysis, and channel profitability. • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, End-Users, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), System Integrators and channel partners • Ensuring, through partnering with local HR leadership, that the area of responsibility is well organized, staffed, skilled and led. Guiding, coaching, motivating and developing direct/indirect teams within HR policies.

Qualifications for the role

  • Experience of business development, account management and complex project sales.
  • Demonstrable work experience in sales management of industrial electrical equipment.
  • An Engineering degree backed by a solid commercial experience, preferably in Electrical Engineering
  • Solid experience in the automation or electrical or power industry. Knowledge of the Variable Speed Drives (VSD) or Electric Motor is an asset
  • People leadership skills are essential with experience of motivating, developing and coaching a team
  • Experience of contract negotiations, commercial and legal terms is essential.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude.
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory.
