Job description
The Post holder will be responsible for the day to day delivery of a high quality Day Care Service in compliance with the DHSS Minimum Day Care Services Standards and RQIA Regulations. To provide, a Day Care service for older people as part of the overall network of services in accordance with statutory responsibility and Trust policy. The post holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the ethos of the service, which will be non-judgemental, caring and supportive. The post holder will be responsible for managing the professional and relief staff; for all budgets, and for liaising with appropriate Trust staff to ensure the service is maintained to an acceptable standard. The Post holder will be required to contribute to and participate in the continuing modernisation service improvement and development of the service in line with Southern Trust vision and priorities for older people. He/she will provide clear leadership to staff and will be responsible for effective financial management and the efficient use of all resources. The post holder will work in partnership with the Community Care Teams, including Integrated Care Teams, Intermediate Care and Memory Services to develop and maintain joint working arrangements with key staff and build a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to ensure that the needs of all Service Users and their Carers are at the core of service delivery. .
