Job Title: Social Care Project Manager
Project and Location: BCM Housing Support for Younger People
Area: Armagh/Dungannon / Magherafelt.
Reporting to: Head of Community Services
Main Purpose of Job: The effective management of the Housing Support for Young People Project and Parent Support Programme.
Main Tasks of Job:
- Plan, prioritise, monitor and evaluate the work of the Project Team, undertaking regular supervision, providing opportunities for learning and development.
- Effectively promote a positive image of the service ensuring a constant flow of appropriate referrals to the service
- Operating in line with relevant legislation ensure the service maintains high quality standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the service providing relevant reports as required and promote continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement annual service improvement plans to promote continuous improvement.
- Oversee the assessment, prioritisation and selection of all service users referred to the Project.
- Ensure that all service users obtain a high-quality, person-centred package of support and as necessary are signposted to other services.
- Manage the risk assessment and risk management planning process.
- Promote Service User Engagement in all aspects of the project.
- If necessary, carry a case load as required to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Ensure all BCM policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
- Participate in the managers on-call rota for BCM Social Care services.
- Provide cover in BCM’s core Social Care services in the event of emergency.
- Ensure the requirements of NISCC registration are observed and kept up to date.
- Promote and work in accordance with BCMs core values.
Duration: Permanent.
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Salary: BCM Scale Point PTs 35 – 40
Holidays: Based on 25 days per year plus 12 Public Holidays.
Probation Period: Six months.
Mileage 45 pence per mile if using own vehicle.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Job Title: Project Manager
Essential
Qualifications
- A relevant 3rd Level Qualification (e.g. Social Work / Community Work/ Housing) & 2 years’ post qualification experience.
- 5 years’ paid experience in providing support to young people aged 16-25 and/or families.
- Level 5 Leadership and Management Qualification and 2 years’ experience supporting young people aged 16-25 and/or families.
- Project Management / Service Management experience.
- Paid experience working with young people and/or families in need of support.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Experience of monitoring and evaluating service effectiveness and promoting continuous improvement.
- Experience of supervising staff and managing staff performance.
- Experience engaging service users in group settings.
- Have access to a car and a full UK driver’s licence and ensure business insurance for work purposes.
- Ability to work flexibly including some weekends and evenings and across other BCM services in the event of emergency.
- Ability to provide out of hours on-call support as per rota requirements.
