XYZ Reality is a construction tech start-up based in London and is currently looking for a talented full-time Logistics and Operations Manager to lead the planning, strategy, and delivery of our XYZ AR product development programs. We have developed the world’s most accurate Augmented Reality HMD for Construction that can eliminate 2D plans. This allows builders, for the first time, to walk on site and use AR/3D models to construct from start to finish.
We are seeking a passionate individual who loves hands-on work and is up for a challenge, having experience across various logistics, facilities, and production operations environments. This role will be instrumental in supporting XYZ scale up to a wider customer base, ensuring the successful delivery of products is met around the world.
The Logistics and Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of logistics, shipping, facility operations, from goods in / out management, through to customer device allocation and tracking in the field. This position requires a hands-on approach and a keen ability to manage multiple facets of the Logistics and facilities operations effectively. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strategic oversight and practical involvement, ensuring our products move efficiently from production to our customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all logistic operations in XYZ, which includes managing the shipment and tracking of our Atom systems worldwide. Additional responsibilities include the day to day running of our NPI facilities warehouse, which manages the goods in and out of all our ATOM devices and accessories, required for a Customer mobilisation. This role will sit closely alongside our contract manufacturer, where our devices are assembled, calibrated, and tested, and will ensure they are provided with the relevant stock of parts to meet their production monthly quota’s, alongside receiving finished goods ready for our stock shelves.
This role will report directly into our NPI and Quality Director and will collaborate with our VP Product and CTO where required. This role will be based out of our new NPI Facility in Reading.

Key Responsibilities

· Shipping and Logistics: Manage all shipping and logistics operations, including liaising with shipping companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
· Customs and Export Management: Management and review of current tax planning strategies to maximize operational efficiency and minimize tax exposure while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations for Rental Assets.
· Goods in Management: Oversee the receipt and management of goods, ensuring accurate tracking and storage in and out of stock.
· Asset Management: Oversee the entire movement of our products, from production to customer allocation, and out to the field, ensuring efficient tracking and management is upheld through our relevant systems.
· Inventory and Stock Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is maintained at optimal levels to meet business needs without overstocking.
· Returns and Repairs: Oversee the management of returns and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient handling of faulty products. Work directly with the Technical Support and Quality teams to receive sign off on return/faulty units.
· Packaging and Consumables: Manage the sourcing and inventory of packaging and consumables needed for shipping, ensuring products are delivered in brand-compliant and secure packaging.
· Shipping Logistics Company Liaison: Serve as the direct point of contact with shipping logistics companies, negotiating contracts and managing relationships.
· Cost Evaluation: Involved in strategic cost evaluation analyses to determine the most efficient logistics operations for the company, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
· ERP and Inventory Management Systems: Utilize XYZ internal asset and inventory management systems that track and manage goods, inventory, and logistics operations. Working closely with NPI Director to evaluate future scale up ERP and inventory management systems that will grow with our customer base and global coverage.
· Hands-On Support: Provide hands-on support in the warehouse, demonstrating a willingness to engage directly and production ops day to day.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within Logistics and facilities operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

· 2-1 or higher degree in Engineering/Operations/Business/Production related field preferable.
· Proven experience in Logistics and facilities management, preferably in a technology or hardware-focused business.
· Strong knowledge of shipping and logistics, goods in management, and inventory control.
· Experience with ERP and inventory management systems.
· Demonstrated ability to manage returns, repairs, and the management of packaging and consumables.
· Excellent organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Hands-on, proactive attitude with a willingness to support warehouse operations directly.
· Relevant accreditation or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferable. (CIPS/CILT)
· Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Experience with Jira and MRP System Management beneficial but not essential.
