Maternity Cover - 13 month fixed term contract (start date - April 2024)

£30,000 - £35,000pa (dependent on skills and experience)

We are looking to recruit a well-organised and experienced Logistics Assistant. Your role will be to provide support to the Logistics Team of 7 people to ensure that it runs effectively and efficiently during a colleague’s maternity leave.

The Role

• Arrange transport/pallet quotations and delivery from warehouses, and ensure invoices are correct.
• Arrange stock releases from warehouses in the UK on a FIFO basis, managing spot releases and exceptions as required.
• Deal with customer queries, complaints and goods/transport claims in case of stock discrepancies or damages, whilst sustaining helpful customer relations.
• Control shipment releases and onward deliveries to customers, and ensure customer expectations are managed in respect of the status of their orders and release schedules.
• Develop collaborative and helpful relationships with suppliers, service providers, and internal team members to deliver the best outcome for customers
• To check and process service providers invoices

Skills & Experience

• Experience in export and international road transport arrangements with an understanding of Incoterms
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
• Collaborative team worker
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized with an excellent attention to detail.
• Hard working and focused
