The purpose of the Planning & Logistics Controller is to ensure the smooth management of the company's operations. The position requires liaison with our customers, outside contractors (transport/sub-contractors), our own service team, and our sales team, to organise and ensure all movements take place as planned, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
This role is the magic ingredient that nits our service offering together.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Effective resource scheduling
- Organisation of all Movements including but not limited to scheduling of service team, third party transport and suppliers
- Point of Contact for our Customers, ensuring all communication is dealt with in an efficient, friendly and professional manner
- Cost control management
- Responsible for Availability and Allocation of all Plant
- Processing of Hire Contracts and associated paperwork to include On and Off hires
- Issuing of Certificates and ensuring Compliance at all times
- Upkeep of Training Records
- Abide by Systems and Procedure and contribute to continuous improvements
Candidates must have a minimum of two years relevant experience of a Hire Desk or Transport Logistics (or similar) and resource scheduling, while experience within the plant hire industry would be an advantage.
Must be a resident in the UK
