Form of workAdecco have a fantastic opportunity to join a successful company based in Aldermaston, Reading who are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator. The role is working Monday - Friday, 8.45am - 5.30pm and offering a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 DOE, plus excellent benefits including free onsite parking, 22 days holiday allowance (plus bank holidays) increasing with length of service and birthday off.
Own mode of transport is essential due to location.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of logistic processes and warehouse operational control. Experience with systems such as NetSuite, Sage or similar is beneficial.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Monitor, control and update progress of incoming supplier shipments
- Liaise with the warehouse to arrange most effective delivery times
- Point of contact for arranging domestic shipping, pallet and courier services
- Control external 3rd party warehouse
- Obtain, check and prepare documentation to ensure customs and insurance requirements are met
- Confirm commodity code classification
- Arrange customs clearance for inbound shipments
- Check import entries for irregularities
- Point of contact for supplier returns
- Liaise with the Finance department to ensure payments are made on time
- Involvement in EU directives
