Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client a British multinational automobile manufacturer which produces luxury vehicles and sport utility vehicles. They are looking for a Test Engineer to join their expanding team on an 5 month rolling contract basis. The role will be based in Solihull.
Job Description
As a Logistics Engineer/Planner your main responsibilities are:
- This is initially a short term Logistics Engineering Solution Design Manager role, covering the early concept phases of a potentially large scale logistics project.
- Our Client is looking for a proven Logistics leader, with broad knowledge of logistic engineering solutions, processes, systems and equipment and latest market trends.
- Covering, but not limited to; In-plant logistics processes, lineside delivery methods, storage media, kitting strategies, AGVs and handling equipment.
Qualifications / Skills needed
- Covering, but not limited to; In-plant logistics processes, lineside delivery methods, storage media, kitting strategies, AGVs and handling equipment
- Knowledge and experience of supporting requirements gathering, solution and layout designs, business case creation, right through to delivery and final project completion of logistics solutions
- Experience or knowledge of project management and process improvement
- Skills and Experience - Positive leadership skills and proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, driving others to deliver solutions with best enterprise results
- Previous experience and background in Manufacturing Logistics
