SalaryA fantastic opportunity has just arrived onto our books for a Logistics/Shipping Executive to join their established shipping team!!
My client is based on the outskirts of Bishops Stortford so I'd recommend having your own transport for this role.
Duties:
- Arranging deliveries to customers and issuing any documents.
- Clearance of materials
- Issuing shipping instructions to shippers and shipping agents, arranging deliveries from the continent.
- Obtaining freight rates and ETA of vessels.
- Liaising with warehouses regarding deliveries and issuing delivery notes, delivery instruction and address labels
- Monitoring customer services emails to acknowledge and confirm call off deliveries and deal with any matters arising from the emails
- Arranging transfer of goods between warehouse where necessary to ensure enough material is available to deliver to customers.
- Progressing shipments and deliveries by liaising with suppliers, brokers, customers and haulage/shipping companies.
- Entering deliveries into system when received into warehouse.
- Monitoring stock list to ensure enough material is available for delivery against sale contracts.
- Answering phones, faxing documents, scanning documents.
