Logistics Manager
Due to continued growth, Professional Technical are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our prestigious client who are market leaders in design and development based in Loughborough. This is a newly created opportunity into the business and offers a competitive salary of 35,000, you will be working Monday to Friday from 07:45 until 16:30, flexibility on start and finish times available if required.
Responsibilities of the Logistics Manager:
- Using Efax System to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs.
- Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle.
- Allocate and manage the Logistics Team to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
- Understand, work with and possibly help to develop e-commerce.
- Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the team.
- Implement health and safety procedures.
- Plan and manage projects.
Requirements of a Logistics Manager:
- Experience of working in a logistics environment.
- Managerial experience advantageous but not essential.
- Strong organization skills.
- A logical and systematic approach to work.
- Good time management.
- The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.
- Commercial awareness and numeracy skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
