We have gone back to the time when contractors carried out work themselves with a dedicated, reliable workforce and their own fleet of plant and equipment.
Due to continued growth we are seeking to recruit a Logistics Manager to join our team at Brighton to join our team to drive the project forward.
As Logistics Manager you will take responsibility for all aspects of the logistics supply chain, stores management, development and optismisation of site logistics solutions, to meet the needs of the project. The Logistics Manager will be required to manage the movement of people, goods and equipment at the construction site and control site facilities management.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the construction team is fully aware of logistics actives in support of the build program.
- Embrace a delivery- focused culture and organise resources to enable contract deadlines to be achieved.
- Coordinate & plan all site deliveries, allocating and planning space for all materials.
- Ensure site is clean and issue clean up notices.
- Organise skips and waste management.
- Oversee welfare labour.
- Oversee forklift driver and unloading operations (assisted by site banksman).
- Daily/weekly inspections of all fire routes and fire prevention equipment.
- Other general duties as direct by the site Project Manager.
Requirements:
- Background experience with RC Frames and Fit out previously in a similar role with a main contractor.
- Reasonable IT knowledge.
- First Aid cert.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
