Icebox is one of London’s biggest and longest standing (f1993) ice cube suppliers to the Bar Restaurant Hotel and Event industry, and supply UK wide to festivals and major events. We do hundreds of drops a day / week, and over ten thousand a year, we are busy! We also happen to be World renowned Ice sculpture specialists, creating delivering and installing over 5,000 a year all over London the UK and beyond.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in London for a Logistics Operations Supervisor. As the Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Logistics Operations and inventory management. You'll be responsible for managing and leading a team of drivers. Your role will ensure customer service excellence, inventory accuracy, as well as making sure all deliveries are managed efficiently and on time.
Daily
Routing and running multidrop Ice cube and Ice sculpture deliveries
6–10 vehicles (Sprinters/7.5T) – season dependent
Delivery runs - 90% London / 10% UK
Using and keeping up to date internal EMS and Online POD routing system
Ensuring PDA system is working smoothly and efficiently
Trouble shooting PDA’s as needed
Supervising, monitoring drivers during deliveries
Ensuring company/drivers running efficiently, in order, on time
Trouble shooting as needed
Client Liaison as needed
Taking ice orders on phone
Entering ice orders emailed / phone / SO's
Quoting on basic ice deliveries
Customer Care
Continuous monitoring of drivers standards and paperwork
Keeping drivers happy in their job
Ensuring drivers stocked with blank delivery notes and invoices
Vehicle Supervision inc. Fuel, Cleanliness and Servicing
Liaising and working with all departments
Liaising with accounts on invoices
Liaising with Sales team on future jobs and current practice
Liaising with Warehouse manager on runs / loads / drivers / vans / equipment
Listening to drivers suggestions, issues, reporting to Manager
Reporting day’s events to Operations Manager
Weekly
Contesting PCN’s
Stock control
Managing drivers rota – discussing with manager
Hours
Mon – Fri 9am – 6pm – can vary/extend season dependent
Extra hours commitment expected in busy seasons
On call some evenings during week compulsory
Every 3rd weekend working
With Manager – In the future
Quoting Sales delivery charges for ice sculptures
Pre planning and management of European and OOT jobs and big projects
Completing risk assessments and method statements for upcoming jobs
Training of new drivers
Project Management

Qualifications
Supervisory Skills and Operations Management
Experience in scheduling and routing orders for efficient deliveries
Experience in Inventory Management
Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities while remaining organized
Experience in health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, or similar would be beneficial
